During the winter of 2007, due to strong winds, Sharone found himself in need of a new fence. So, he started to have a good look around at the options available to him as a customer. He didn’t want timber because of the regular maintenance required; painting, repairing broken posts or panels etc. He looked at building a brick wall instead, but this turned out to be an expensive solution and not aesthetically pleasing.
Eventually, his search took him to ColourFence, which was a completely new garden fence concept to him. Steel fencing? Steel in our garden? Initially, it didn’t sound particularly attractive but once he’d seen the product, he was bowled over by it. With a young family, the low maintenance and security aspects particularly appealed to him. Also, the fact that the fencing is environmentally friendly and it comes with a 25-year warranty was important, and it looked great! ColourFence is a strong, lightweight, practical alternative to timber fencing. The perfect replacement for your old tired wood fence.
Shortly after discovering ColourFence garden fencing, Sharone was presented with an opportunity to become involved with the business as a franchisee. He decided to take the plunge and set up his own franchise, and he hasn’t looked back since. In 2008, he was awarded runner-up ColourFence Franchisee of the Year and by 2009, he had obtained the big prize – Franchisee of the Year. Since then ColourFence Cambridge is the no. 1 UK franchise (June 2018)
